Jacqueline Sveda: Jewelry and Accessories Designer
Inspired by the “paruriers of haute couture” (makers of costume jewelry for high fashion houses c. 1930’s) her pieces incorporate ornamental value with mixed metals (brass, sterling silver, 22 and 18K gold and ethnic metals), textured stones such as rough cut diamonds, and special pieces from antiquity.
Her combination of old and new is anchored by mixed metals to create edgy, modern pieces. The designer is motivated by the history of Indian, Etruscan and Roman cultures. Most of her pieces incorporate some part of history in the form of vintage chains, ancient relics like Roman glass, and old Indian gold. Sveda is inspired not only by the stories her pieces evoke, but by the patina of the elements themselves.
Jackie has been creating jewelry and accessories for the past five years. Her main focus is to create “one of a kind designs” to honor the individual.
